Wonderscope

We went to our local children's museum last week. Here are a few pics:

Bee vintage locks for February

This is our 3rd round for bee vintage. This month Linda asked for lady of the lake blocks.

And Liz asked for granny squares.

Have I already blogged about this?

These card trick and cry of the loon blocks have been on a shelf for 8 years or so. Decided to use what I have in my stash to finish them up. I have one more row to add. Here's a picture before I started rearranging.

New Ottoman

A few weeks ago I saw a base for an ottoman next to a trash can down the street. Today I added 4 inch foam, some batting and blocks from my Denyse Schmidt workshop. One is even signed. I'm so happy with the result!

Asian fans wip

I'm trying to finish up some old projects. This Asian fan quilt has curves, which are just a little intimidating. I'm planning on finishing these blocks up in the next couple weeks. Still thinking on how to arrange them.

String quilt made of scraps

String quilt made of scraps, originally uploaded by nkiblueeyes.

I've been making string blocks with green foundations for a while now. About a week ago, I started trimming them up and sewing them together.

This one will be for Wyatt's bed. I plan to back it with flannel & it will be a very warm and heavy winter quilt. It's a large full-sized quilt.

Will be making more of these to use all over the house.

Churn Dash using Hope Valley for the blocks and Chickopee for the setting triangles

Started in Sept of 2011.

Top finished in Feb, 2013.

Bought a fat quarter pack of Hope Valley & used most of it along with some Chickopee for the setting triangles.

Love me some Denyse Schmidt.
